Develop the meditation that is love, for by so doing, hatred will be got rid of. Develop the meditation that is compassion, for by doing so, harming will be got rid of. Develop the meditation that is sympathetic joy, for by doing so, dislike will be got rid of.
Develop the meditation that is equanimity, for by doing so, sensory reaction will be got rid of. Develop the meditation on the impure, for by doing so, attachment will be got rid of. Develop the meditation that is the perception of impermanence, for by doing so, the conceit “I am” will be got rid of.
Day 6: Yeah… there’s plenty of foods I usually stay away from, but “binge” on them once in awhile. I enjoy feeling really full occasionally, I guess.
Day 5: At this point my weight loss intent comes from wanting to further my yoga practice. I want to be in the physical shape that allows me to achieve samadhi one day, and having a low body fat percentage is a big part of that, in my opinion. I don’t know who else I’d be doing it for… I mean, I guess, on some level there are people that, when they’re impressed with me, I feel better about myself. Is that egomania?
Day 4: My greatest fears about weight loss…
- It won’t change anything. I lost 100 pounds when my doctor told me it would make me sweat less. I sweat just as much or more now.
- I will be unsatisfied with the ultimate result and will let my diet go to shit again.
Day 3: I’m not exactly sure what they’re looking for here… a particular person? I guess if there’s someone I’d like to look like it’d be Ryan Gosling.
Day 2: Yes and no. Other people seem to like it. Several downsides include:
- Hard to fit in vehicles, oftentimes both my knees and head are pushing against something.
- Hard to fit in bathtubs.
- Sometimes I hit my head on things when walking around.
- I’m sure there’s more I can’t think of right now…
Day 1: 76” 220lb 21 years… this thing’s not very specific?
